I spent some time with Jim over the past weekend.. He has been pretty busy. So untill he can find his way to a keyboard I will give you an update. He is now riding and Promoting Moutain Cycle as his Primary ride, and although his DH bike didn't make it in time, he did have his rumble. This is one really nice bike and it appears really well made. He is also Working hard at representing SportLegs products as well as the Brownstone Beam Video camera system. He Gave me a copYoF his video "A New Prospective". The Brownstone Really seems to capture everything in a more realistic sence. The footage from the Reading Racing Dureya Downhill was fantastic. You need to search some of the clips out and get in touch with these guys next time anybody neeDs some filming done. Jim wasn't able to make the comp. He wasnt yet comfortable enough on his bike to compete on the massive Monster course. He did spend a lot of time bombing the Freeride trails, Giving his Tomac Magnum a very good going away ride. We all had a great time at Snowshoe this weekend.I was a guest of the Reading Racing Team. a special thanks to Their Sponsors and Especially Red Bull for setting us all up with a first class weekend. I rode all the trails my limited ability would allow ,I did at least attempt most of them, many requiring me to drag my bike around a few of the really cool stunts. The massive wooden S turn really put a hurtin on me on day one, but by the end of the weekend I was definatly claiming ownership!!! I also figured that since I was there I would get a couple runs in on the race course and get an edge on my competition. As if you wouldn't know ,almost half of my class from the MAC series were also on the mountain. Dam'n You old guys are cunning!!! Sorry Bill, I saw you from the window at the bar, but didnt see you at all on the trails. I know the Gromm was talking to you, but we ever did cross paths. The Gromm had a great time. He rode all weekend from open till close. He rode with every member of his team individually as well as with them in groups. He spent some time with jim, which is somthing he was looking forward to. Jim is pretty patient when it comes to the youngsters. He is also a great teacher. We can'wait untill Jim makes it down for some sessions on the Minersville Dirt Jumps. John has ben looking forward to branching into some street and DJ manuvers, and Who better to teach him. John was also a bit excited when Aaron Chase saw him standing behind the riders tent and called him over to talk about what freeride trails he had rode ,The Gromm spent the next half hour discussing trails and lines with Arron, Todd Bosh, And Paul B. John is getting a good reputation for having an eagles eye for picking some of the best lines on the trail, and getting some pointers from some of his pro level friends can only help. Now if somone can jump start some muscle growth in his skinny little bird legs we may one day have a rocket on our hands!! Well I know I dont have the insight and the perspective on thing that Jim may,but I can tell you , you need to get your ass to Snowshoe this season, the trails are fun, and so far dry. I havent had a better more relaxing time in months. Too bad you missed the Monster park event, Dont miss out on the riding!!!! As far as the event went I hope to write a personal review a little later if I can find the time. But I will say this. Zink, you are one rugged kid, had I fallen as hard as you I would still be laying there crying like a baby. Romaniuk !!!, I dont know about you , but I crapped "my" pants. Paul B.nice try, major cujones!! one last thing. I got a chance to meet Cameron McCaul. If You could figure a way to tap off some of that energy the need for oil would drop to zero. well thats the weeked as I saw it Feel free to chime in and I will do my best to post it up for you.
