East coast is going to be Scorching hott this year!!!!
I have been going over the 2006 event schedules and I cannot believe all the DH events. There is so much going on this year that you will need some type of sponsorship just to be able to afford to hit all of them.
Lets take a look at the list; NORBA has two nationals on the east coast. Sugar Mt. NC, and Mount Snow Vermont. Diablo in Vernon NJ has The US Open and 5 Races in their Domination series. Snowshoe, WV has 5 races lined up. Ski Platekill in NY, will be putting on 8 races The MAC series has yet to announce there dates, but roomer has it could be between 4 and 7 races. I hear Whiteface in Lake Placid, NY, Mount Snow VT, and several others may also be running some events. And don’t forget places like Wisp, Evergreen, and Windrock, Diablo, Snowshoe, and Mount Snow as well as some places I forgot to mention t have cut trails for the gravity crowd and will be open all summer. I know Windrock is in Tennessee, and not really an east coast location .I am looking forward to getting there as soon as they open. Since I am so close at this moment.
I here talk that Downhilling and freeriding are dead? Not on the east coast!! This is the place to be. Of course I would give it all up for a permanent place at Whistler, but unless that comes aboot I am proud, for the first time to be an east coast boy!!!
Oh Yea. I am Still stuck in Kentucky, but will be home in time to crash my brains out at the Open!!
PS. I will get all the dates up on the calendar as soon as I can!!!!
Later Taters, Rick
